A stop in Naples for authentic pizza, then two hours exploring Pompeii with a private guide — the ancient Roman city frozen in time by Vesuvius’ eruption in 79 A.D. From there, on to the Amalfi Coast.

On the Water
A full day aboard a private 38-foot boat with an English-speaking captain — cruising the coastline with stops to swim, explore Positano, and visit Capri. Weather and crowds permitting, we may queue for the famous Blue Grotto.
Travel Day · North
A scenic drive north with a two-hour stop in Orvieto — famous for its stunning Duomo, an underground Etruscan city, and St. Patrick’s Well (200 feet deep, 264 steps). Time for a stroll, the artisan shops on Via Cavour, and lunch. Then on to the villa, where the whole family comes together for the week ahead.
Arrival Day
The extended family gathers at the villa throughout the day and evening. Scott’s family arrives after midnight.
Wine Country Tradition
A private, hands-on tradition: step into a real winepress and stomp freshly harvested grapes, just as locals have for centuries — followed by a wine tasting for the adults and a bottling experience for the kids.

Day Trip
A fully-guided day in Florence with two dedicated licensed guides, split into two smaller groups for an easier pace through the historic center.

A private truffle hunt in the Tuscan hills with a professional truffle hunter and trained dogs — about an hour searching the woodland, learning how truffles are found and harvested.
